Breathing Clean Air Indoors

Little did we know that indoor air can be as polluted as the air outside. There are many ways to maintain a clean and healthy air indoors. For bathrooms and kitchens, make sure you use the ventilation fans, if any, because it reduces the dampness in the area that can cause mildew and moulds to grow. Purify indoor air by bringing in plants such as peace lilies, bamboo and English ivy. These are plants known to remove formaldehyde and other hazardous chemicals in air. Choose your air filters wisely. Use the ones that have a minimum efficiency reporting value rating of 10 or more. For paints and strippers, use only those with low volatile organic compounds, which are known hazardous components when you are constantly exposed.
